The Arts
Visual Arts
During the two years at Rangeview, students will be provided with opportunities to explore the elements and principals of the visual arts using a variety of techniques, tools, processes, materials and media. They will be encouraged to develop their own ideas plus understand and appreciate various art forms both in past and present cultures. Many opportunities are also offered to exhibit and extend children both within and outside the school environment.
An art extension class is offered as part of the Day 0 programme. The purpose of this is to extend students in their practical knowledge along with an understanding and appreciation of the value and purpose of artworks. The students will be motivated and encouraged to develop and expand their ideas more, work collaboratively and produce art works beyond what is covered in the classroom programme.
